Monitoring & Evaluation For Human Rights Programme

PURPOSE

Designing and executing programs that positively benefit people, collecting and interpreting data, and advocating for programs based on human rights all require strong monitoring and evaluation (M&E) abilities. This two-week program will offer practical training in M&E systems and the use of M&E data to decision-making in human rights programming in order to increase the capacity of M&E professionals who are actively involved in the human rights sector. The session provides in-depth instruction on the core ideas and equipment for M&E in human rights programs.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of this course the participants will be able to:

  • Track the program’s inputs, procedures, and outcomes needed to manage the effectiveness of its human rights programs.
  • Recognize key ideas, techniques, and resources for monitoring human rights initiatives.
  • Determine strategies for removing obstacles to carrying out efficient human rights program monitoring.
  • Choose the right metrics to gauge the results and outputs of your program.
  • Monitoring human rights programs should be done with the proper techniques and equipment.
  • using a data analysis program effectively (STATA)
  • learn the fundamentals of qualitative data analysis for human rights programs.
  • Utilize NVivo to analyze qualitative data.
  • To promote learning and reflection, share findings.

DURATION: 10 Days

TARGET AUDIENCE

A variety of program staff, management team members, thematic staff, project management officials, government officials, program managers, policy makers, program implementers, development practitioners and activists, NGO and CSO members, and human rights activists are among those who will benefit from this general training.
