Purpose
For complete beginners only, this course is designed. It is designed for students who have little to no prior computer knowledge. This course’s goal is to equip students with the information and abilities they need to utilize computers successfully in everyday life, school, the workplace, and beyond.
Students will discover the benefits of computers and how to communicate online.
The use of email, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software programs as well as the Internet will be highlighted.
Participants in this workshop should be reasonably fluent in English and have a foundational knowledge of ICT topics.

Course Objectives
The focus will be on using software packages for emails, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations as well as using the Internet. • Students will discover what computers can do for them and how to use the Internet for communication.

Internet
Introduction to web browsers, settings, extensions, searching for content on the Internet, bookmarking, passwords management
Use appropriate salutations and closings; use CC, BCC, Reply, Reply All, and forward; comprehend the fundamentals of grammar, formatting, and punctuation to improve readability; write better emails faster; learn how to manage email volume; write concise, professional emails; avoid annoying others with email overload.
Ms Word
- An overview of MS Word fundamentals
- Using tables and charts to organize content • Using styles and themes to customize formats • Inserting text using fast sections • Using templates to automate document formatting • Managing the flow of a document
- Making letters, envelopes, and labels using mail merge.

Data entry, selection, and editing; formatting of cells, rows, columns, and sheets; formula and function creation; charts, graphs, and data sorting; printing of Excel documents; naming of cell ranges; linking of sheets and files; conditional functions; basic lookup functions; and crucial list management.
