Leadership and Diplomacy

Purpose

Leadership and Diplomacy are critical function of county assemblies and other legislative leaders. It employs a whole of government approach and utilizes both scholars and practitioners   in discussing these issues with relevant practical examples.

The participants will be able to gain relevant experience in leadership and diplomacy, conduct effective plenary meetings and lead effective and robust legislatures

Course Objective

At the end of this course the participants will be able to

  • Explain the Leadership concept
  • Describe the strategies for effective organization and provision of legislative services in Assemblies
  • Discuss the role of MCA as diplomacy actor
  • Demonstrate effective negotiations and lobbying skills
  • Discuss strategies of conducting effective plenary meetings
