Purpose
DHIS Two is a tool for patient-based and aggregate statistical data collecting, processing, and presentation that has been specifically designed (but not exclusively) to include health information management functions. The user can create the contents connected with a certain information system without the need for programming thanks to something having an open metadata style and a flexible user interface. A modular web-based software suite called DHIS2 and higher was created using open-source Java technologies.
Because of poor demographic and health record-keeping practices, it is believed that health data and information are under-documented. IRES has set up the training to give scientists, administrators of health reports, and service providers the skills they need to monitor, manage, and maintain market information and wellness data more successfully and correctly than they could have done with paper. The Installation, Maintenance and Use of DHIS Two program will give participants the knowledge and abilities they need to report, evaluate, and disseminate information for the majority of health initiatives.
Course Objectives
By completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand DHIS2 setup. Learn about DHIS 2 and the purpose it serves for wellness information systems (HIS). Identify the essential elements of DHIS 2 that support data collection, visualization, validation, presentation, and use. Identify the key technological considerations for installing DHIS 2.
Data quality using DHIS 2; data components, and data sets indicators; event capture, tracker, event report, and event visualizer capture; data collecting and information entry; data analysis; and data visualization.
- DHIS two configuration to track health-related indicators and progress toward objectives such the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Appreciate the benefits and drawbacks of using DHIS2
