Purpose
The landscape of oil and gas operations is expected to change as a result of digitalization in its many manifestations. This is accomplished by introducing novel, paradigm-shifting efficiencies and breaking down obstacles in order to increase production while still managing expenses. Effective digitalization is urgently needed as the sector moves paradigms towards more complicated fields following the successful exploitation of the relatively “cheap oil.” Participants will develop their digital engineering abilities, which are necessary to increase competitiveness, while getting firsthand exposure to new efficiencies offered by digitalization.
Course Objectives
By completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Recognize and effectively assess contemporary information flow and control models • Appreciate the cyber representation of physical assets and its implications • Consider the oil and gas industry as a system • Recognize and effectively assess unintended potential risks during the digitalization journey • Make recommendations to become more proficient users of emerging technology
Duration: 5 Days
Target Audience
Although a wide range of professionals could benefit from this training, the following ones in particular stand to gain significantly: operations supervisors, production engineers, reservoir engineers, drilling and completion engineers, well services and field operators, data scientists, digitalization contractors, computer security analysts, and project managers.
